On a rainy afternoon, my family and I ducked into an empty Sail Inn Cafe; other eateries along Bay Boulvevard were packed, this place was empty. The sole server was also the cook. The six of us pulled two tables together to make room for all of us and we were quickly provided menus. Our food orders were placed and we had to help picking out our beer selection at the bar because the server was not familiar with the bar area. But, the food was very good! Our 3-piece fish and chips was enough for two of us; the batter was thin and crisp and nicely browned. A Fried Cod sandwich also was nice. Fish tacos were very good, too! The prices were way below what was asked at some of the more popular places along Bay Boulevard. By the time we left, the place was full! I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again!

After checking out the crab boats and sea lions we stopped in for a drink. The Rita was fresh and served its purpose. The owner (very nice lady) took the time to chat with us. They specialize in Thia cuisine. We ordered the fish & chips and the clams in basil & chili plate. The fish was by far the freshest i ever tasted and the clam plate, ohhh my.. It was spicy and certainly gave my taste buds one hell of an experience. I highly recommend the clams with basil & chili plate. Parking is plentiful and the scenery is impressive. Enjoy!!

Last time I was at Sail Inn, I had just stepped off the boat and wanted some good home-cooked fresh food. I was not disappointed. They make a great Seafood Pad Thai, Halibut fingers, shrimp noodle, even a great sandwich. I have eaten here 30-40 times and have never been disappointed. On your next adventure, take a minute or 30 and relax with a well made meal at Sail Inn.

Food was excellent! Great service. Cozy feel and right on the bay. The only drawback was the forks were slightly dirty and the place felt a little cluttered. But other than that the food as I said was great and the waitress/owner/cashier was very nice and quick to seat us. Had an overall good experience.

If you're looking for somewhere with amazing food and outstanding views, this is the place! Yes, it's a hole-in-the-wall, and yes, the service is fairly slow, but when one woman does EVERYTHING, what would you expect? Could use a good cleaning, but if the health department could close it down, they would have done it already. We have eaten there repeatedly during our week long stay, and the only problem is that we can't take it home with us! Don't miss out! Try this place before it's too late!!!

We've been here many times over a few years. The food is the best, my wife an Asian islander says the Thai and seafood is superb. They will cook crab you buy from across the road at the dock. The Asian lady is the only person here, so service can be slow depending on how many people are here. No it is not very clean and no idea why she has collected some of the things around but she is nice and does a great job for a solo gig.

So far. Service has been good.... besides the appearance of our server (with half the kitchen on her shirt.) This must be the owner... the "Asian lady". Just finished my burger, the Hawaiian burger. Burger was good. Chowder... not quite like any other I've had. Smells better than it taste. Fish was definitely fresh. Enjoyed the meal.
